How to get Coal in Palworld?
To get Coal in Palworld you need to find Coal deposits. The deposits are completely dark in colour and tend to be more angled than other deposits.
Also, we recommend that you have at least a Metal Pickaxe to use on the Coal deposits as it's far easier than if you had a lower level tool.
So far, these are the best places to find Coal deposits in Palworld:
①Mount Obsidian - There are a lot of deposits scattered across this volcanic landscape, but it does get hot so wear some protective clothing before heading there. We particularly found large spawns of Coal near the base of the mountain.
②Dunegons - They're not as densely populated with this deposit type, but keep an eye out as most Dungeons do have a few of them.
③Twilight Dunes - The desert that's at -160, -114 had quite a lot of Coal deposits to mine from and it's far less dangerous/cooler than Mount Obsidian is. However, you should still know how to survive a desert to be safe.
How to make a Metal Pickaxe in Palworld?
To make a Metal Pickaxe in Palworld you will need to have a High Quality Workbench and reach character level 11 to have access to the Technology tree it's on.
First, to build a High Quality Workbench you will need to be level nine to unlock it in the Technology tree and have the following materials:
①x15 Ingot
②x50 Wood
③x10 Nails
Once you've built your Workbench, you will need these materials to build a Metal Pickaxe:
①x15 Stone
②x20 Wood
③x5 Ingot
Once you have this tool, make sure you equip it to your character from your inventory and head off to the desert to get your Coal.
